Our stories

Lily, Year 12

Since joining HASU, I’ve had such a positive experience. I’ve made amazing friends who support me both academically and personally. The teachers are amazing; they're engaging, approachable, and they know how to keep the classroom atmosphere involving everyone and enjoyable.

Our stories

Ashvath, Year 12

My time at Harris Academy Sutton has been an incredibly enriching experience. The teachers make learning very engaging and enjoyable. I’ve received so much personal support throughout my time here which has really helped me through my GCSES and now with my A Levels.

Our stories

Sarah, Year 11

"Throughout my years at school, the school have supported me with my role as a young carer by understanding that I am a young carer."

Our stories

Amelia, Year 10

I love attending HASU. The school is a supportive environment for all students, where we feel comfortable to reach out to all of our teachers for support and guidance.

Our stories

Maria, Year 9

I really enjoy IID weeks because we get to go on school trips and there are no lessons either. These weeks help us to get to know people better, develop new friendships and do fun activities.

Our stories

Tiffany, Year 8

We have some fantastic trips here.  For example, in Year 7, we were taken on a trip to watch a pantomime on Jack and the Beanstalk and we went to Hampton Court Palace.  In Year 8 we have a summer residential to PGL.  There are also opportunities in Key Stage 4 and 5 to travel as far as Dubai, Berlin and New York!

Our stories

Ehaan, Year 7

Making friends has been really easy because we don't just stay in our tutor groups - our learning groups are very mixed and so I have made a lot of friends and feel very independent. I've made a really good friend who helped me to become Student Commissioner.
