At Harris Academy Sutton, we have the highest expectations for all our students and are committed to enabling every learner to achieve their full potential. Every member of staff plays a vital role in meeting the diverse needs of our students, ensuring that all can thrive in a supportive and aspirational environment.

We understand that each young person is unique, and that some may require additional support to access all that a mainstream education has to offer. Our approach is built on quality first teaching which is carefully planned around the needs of our students. We foster an inclusive learning environment designed to support the needs of our learners. Our teaching practices are reinforced by clear core consistencies across the academy. These consistent routines and expectations help create a structured and predictable learning environment, allowing students to focus on their learning and make sustained progress over time.

For students with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), we work closely with families and the local authority to ensure that the provision we offer aligns with the needs outlined in the plan. In line with the Children and Families Act 2014, any placement at Harris Academy Sutton must be considered appropriate to meeting the child’s specific needs, and must be consistent with the efficient education of all students, efficient use of resources and reasonable adjustments to wider school provision.

Through a broad, inclusive curriculum coupled with a culture of high-quality support and encouragement, we ensure that every student feels safe, valued, and empowered to succeed.
