HASU6 Curriculum
Our subject offer is broad and focused on delivering the excellent outcomes and skills that are the key to unlocking the next steps in life for our students.
-
We are an A-level only Sixth Form. Vocational qualifications are not part of our offer.
-
Most students will study a two-year course of three A-Levels, with the option of a fourth A-Level in Further Maths for those who meet the criteria.
-
We also offer the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), worth the equivalent of an AS level. The EPQ often leads to lower university offers and provides students with a chance to pursue an independent project in a subject of their choosing. (This helps develop research, thinking, writing, planning and self-management skills.)
-
We provide support for students who wish to study an A level in their home language, helping them gain additional qualifications that recognise and celebrate their linguistic strengths.
How it works
-
Students selecting Further Maths must also take A Level Maths, and will therefore study four subjects in total.
-
Option blocks are set each year based on applications received. Students choose any three A-Levels from three different blocks; no two options can be chosen from the same block.

Provisional option blocks for September 2026 are below.
Students can choose any three subjects from three different blocks but they are unable to choose two options from the same block.
