Behaviour
Harris Academy Sutton systematically implements a behaviour for learning approach to education which enables teachers to have the highest expectations of students behaviour in order to maximise their opportunity to achieve.
Here at Harris Sutton our fundamental aim is to work with parents and students to encourage outstanding behaviour at all times. All of our teacher’s intentions are to establish positive relationships with every student which is based upon mutual respect. We aim to create a cohesive and positive learning environment where achievement is desired by all.
If a student’s behaviour is not meeting our Academy expectations this will be challenged in order to ensure sanctions are fairly apportioned according to the behaviours demonstrated. We encouraged all students to behave professionally and with consideration for others both in and outside school. All students must follow Academy rules to allow for progress.
As parents/careers we ask that you work with the Academy to encourage respect, outstanding behaviour and support the Academy’s policy on rewards and sanctions. Within the Academy, we aim to reward positive behaviour and communicate regularly with parents/carers.
