Assistant Principal

Jo Morgan is Assistant Principal responsible for operations and assessment. She joined HASU in July 2019. Jo does the school’s timetabling, oversees the calendar, creates the newsletter and runs the school’s social media accounts. Jo also runs the options process, ensuring that all students receive the support and guidance they need to choose the right pathways.

Jo has a BSc in Statistics, Operational Research and Management Studies from University College London, and completed her PGCE at Kings College London.

Jo left her previous career in banking to train to be a teacher. She taught maths at both Nonsuch High School for Girls and Glyn School in Epsom. She then joined the Harris Federation as a Maths Consultant, supporting Heads of Maths across a number of Harris schools.

Jo spends a lot of her free time working to improve maths education across the country. She volunteers on various committees and is a published author. Jo runs a popular website for maths teachers which has had over ten million visits, and she is a leading influencer in global maths education communities.

Jo is mum to two young children.
