As the Head of Year 13 and Assistant Director of 6th Form, Abbie supports the running of key aspects of HASU6. Abbie’s role focuses on the Personal Development Curriculum and Tutor time learning, overseeing the design of a PSHE and Careers programme that prepares post-16 students for life after HASU. Abbie also oversees the Academic and Peer Mentoring programme, supporting students to get involved with Student Leadership opportunities and run 6th form societies. A key part of her role is supporting Year 13 through the UCAS process, offering guidance on university applications and personal statements as well as additional support in all post-18 pathways.
Abbie studied Sociology (BA Hons) at The University of Exeter and completed her PGDE through the Leadership Development Programme with Teach First teaching Mathematics. Abbie teaches both Maths and A-level Sociology bringing a wide range of knowledge to the classroom.
Outside of the classroom, Abbie enjoys keeping fit by running and exploring new countries in her travels.
