School Meals

Our school meals are provided by Impact Food who are the leading provider of contract catering in the UK. All of Impact Food' menus offer varied nutritional food, which is suitable for pupils with a range of dietary requirements and compliant to government legislation.

You can contact  our Catering Manager -  Sophia Pusey on harrissutton@impactfood.co.uk

How do School Meals work?

We offer food and drinks during break and lunch. We also have a Breakfast Club that operates from 8.00 to 8.20am.

All purchases are made via the ParentPay system.

The Breakfast Club is open to all students. Families that receive a Free School Meal are able to access up to £1 of food from the Club each day in addition to their lunch meal. This is enough for a bowl of cereal and a slice of toast.

The break menu is varied and offers a small snack to keep students going until lunch. Students are also able to buy a sandwich at break that they may wish to keep for lunch, for example they may have a club or society to attend.

Lunch service is split into two serveries. We have formal dining, where hot food is served upon a plate and students are expected to sit and eat in the canteen using cutlery. Our Café area serves a more “grab-and-go” selection, and students are able to take this food to a selection of indoor and outdoor seated spaces to eat.

Students may bring a packed lunch and there is no need to let us know. We find that most families like to plan ahead, looking at our menus and mixing packed lunches with school meals according to personal taste and the activities their children are undertaking at the Academy.

ParentPay

Using ParentPay, you are able to pay for Academy meals (cashless system), trips, music lessons, revision books, and lots more using your credit and debit cards.

The Academy does not accept payment by cash or cheque but instead enables all payments to be processed through ParentPay. This is a free service to parents/carers and staff.

To use the system you will need your unique user ID and password. Parents receive a letter containing their user ID and password as soon as a child is fully registered as a student at the Academy so that they are able to start using ParentPay immediately.

ParentPay benefits our students and the Academy in many ways not least by removing the risks associated with students carrying cash to school and reducing administration which creates more time to devote to educational support and the smooth running of the Academy.

For further information about using ParentPay to pay securely online for trips, music lessons, lunches and other activities please contact reception.
